Dove Point is the easternmost point of the promenade at Meols Shore (Meols Beach) on the Wirral Peninsula. Historical Significance: The area is famous for a submerged forest from the Mesolithic period, with tree remnants occasionally visible at low tide. It was a significant Iron Age and Viking trading port where numerous artefacts have been unearthed.
