WINTER SOLSTICE AT CHETHAM FARM  – £55

A Full-Day Gathering of Activation, Gratitude & Earth-Honouring Integration

21st December | 10am – 4:30pm
Chetham Farm, High St, Chapeltown, Bolton BL7 0EZ
Hosted by Rachel Earing Energy Trainer, Intuitive & Founding Yawnologist,  Julie Tomkinson, Spiritual MediumS & Tasha Bear, Sound Therapist

A Midwinter Descent Into Stillness — And a Rising Into Light

The Winter Solstice is the ancient exhale of the year — the longest night, the great turning, the cosmic yawn before the slow stretch back into the light.

This year, we gather at Chetham Farm, the land where Rachel, Steve, Mandy created the labyrinth by hand, dowsed each stone and placed breath by breath with Sue & Jacqui. It has held ours and maybe your footsteps since it was opened in May; our intention-setting, our tears, and our laughter. For five months the L.E.S.S.™ Is More team  have travelled together through ancient sites, towers, stone circles, wells, crossed thresholds, activated ancestors and elements — and now we return to the Labyrinth to end the year and bring in new beginnings.

  • This is our final activation of the year.
  • A weaving together of the work done.
  • A blessing of what we’re becoming.

WHAT TO EXPECT

1. Opening the Day: Arrival, Grounding & Solstice Intention

We’ll gather at the farm at 10am (for a prompt start), breathe in the still winter air, and allow the land to meet us exactly as we are.
Your nervous system will remember this place.
Labyrinths recognise returning feet from beyond now.

1. Solstice Altar Offerings

We invite every attendee to bring a small object or offering for the communal Solstice Altar.
This altar will honour:

  • your personal journey this year

  • the collective work of the group

  • the land and its guardians

  • the ancestors whose stories we’ve been unwinding

Typical offerings people bring:
Flowers, seeds, stones, written intentions, symbolic objects, seasonal greenery, ribbons, feathers, or items representing release and renewal.

This is a celebration of everything you’ve contributed, to your year consciously and energetically, and to the LESS is More journey if you joined us this year.

We’ll set our Solstice intentions — personally, collectively, and for the lineage of sites we’ve worked with since summer.

2. Labyrinth Activation & Site Connection

This is not a walk. This is an activation.

The labyrinth will serve as a living conduit to all the ancient sites we’ve connected with over the last five months — the dragon-lines, the stones, the old boundaries, the water, the towers, the ancestors whose breath still moves under the soil.

Walking the labyrinth on the Solstice amplifies coherence. We are collecting research to show how our work effects not just the participants but the environment we work in.
(There’s research showing coordinated movement in groups boosts entrainment in the heart-brain field — but you already know this from experience.)

  • Expect a shift. Expect clarity as you head into 2026.
  • Expect surprising emotional shifts… and possibly a yawn or twelve.

3. 13th Rite – Womb Blessing Activation

For those receiving or reaffirming the 13th Rite (The Rite of the Womb), we’ll hold the ceremony within the natural bowl of land by the labyrinth.

This rite is a blessing of the womb-space — for women and for men, as the energetic womb is an archetypal centre of creation in every human.

It supports release, creativity, emotional clearing and ancestral unburdening.
(Curiously, recent biological studies show the pelvic bowl and gut field respond quickly to rhythmic breathwork and coherent intention. The ancestors always knew before the labs caught up.)

4. Integration Through Sound — The Barn Experience

We will close the day with a shared sound experience inside the warm barn.
Think: bowls, drums, tones, vibration, coherence, and the kind of sound that rearranges a person from the inside out.

This is where all the fieldwork lands.
Where the body says, “Ah… now I understand.”
Where the nervous system resets for the year ahead.

Expect to leave feeling expanded, settled, and strangely optimistic about 2026.

WHAT TO BRING

  • Warm waterproof layers (Chetham Farm likes to test your clothing choices)

  • Walking boots or sturdy shoes

  • Blanket or shawl for sound integration

  • Your Solstice Altar offering

  • Water bottle & snacks

SELF-CARE BEFORE THE DAY (Recommended)

  • Hydrate well the night before

  • Take an Epsom salt bath or foot soak

  • Sleep early (your brain does better mystical work when well-rested)

  • Eat lightly

  • Spend 5–10 minutes journaling on what you’re ready to release

  • Bring any emotions with you — the land can hold them

WHO THIS IS FOR

This gathering is perfect for:

  • Those who’ve walked the five-month LESS is More journey

  • Individuals seeking a deep end-of-year reset

  • Anyone feeling the pull toward ancestral clearing or land-based activation work

  • People who enjoy a blend of science, energy work, humour, and grounded mysticism

  • Newcomers who want to experience a full-solstice activation in a safe, coherent, and welcoming group

A FINAL WORD, FROM ME to YOU

For me this Solstice is the exhale our work has been leading toward, and that includes the work you have been doing without any attachment to us previously.
Five months of ancient-site work.
Five months of devotion.
Five months of listening to yourself, each other, the land and lineage.

On this day at Chetham Farm, we weave it all together — the labyrinth, the rites, the ancestral lines, the site activations, the sound, the community, the science, the magic… and the yawns.

This is a return.
This is a completion.
This is a beginning.

The Social Science:

We will be collecting data on the day.

Be part of the research and bring a jar of water (collected from a river, the tap, pond wherever you feel called), we will measure it on the day as part of the L.E.S.S.™ Is More Study.

Join us for the Zoom Site activation on Thursday 18th December 8.30pm and the post Solstice Zoom Tuesday 2nd January 8.30pm.

Send in your journalling notes with all your findings and have them included in the 2025 study.

Join the 2026 L.E.S.S.™ Is More Co-hort and continue the journey with us.
